O.C. Tanner Named One of People's 50 Companies That Care
Salt Lake City (July 25, 2018) – Great Place to Work and PEOPLE have honored O.C. Tanner as one of the PEOPLE’s “50 Companies That Care.” The second annual list will be featured in the August 6, 2018 issue of PEOPLE, which hits newsstands nationwide on Friday, July 27.
“We are honored to have been selected as one of Great Place to Work® and PEOPLE’S 50 Companies That Care for the second year in a row,” said Dave Petersen, president and CEO of O.C. Tanner. “The team at O.C. Tanner is comprised of some of the most hard-working individuals in the world. The people here not only give their all to us each day, but they take great pride in caring for their communities as well, and this recognition is a reflection of their commitment to great work within and beyond the workplace.”
Rankings represent feedback from over 4.5 million US employees. PEOPLE partnered with Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, to analyse employees’ survey feedback on how their workplaces make a difference in their lives and communities, and to consider the generosity of each organisation's benefits, philanthropic and community support. O.C. Tanner took the No. 28 spot on the list.
By providing a dollar-for-dollar match during donation drives and giving employees the option to serve eight paid volunteer hours, in 2017 O.C. Tanner logged over 1,300 services hours and donated over $200,000 to the Utah Food Bank and the United Way of Salt Lake City.
Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work, adds, “This year’s 50 Companies That Care are taking their great workplace cultures to an even higher level by supporting ALL employees by making sure to include refugees, immigrants, people of colour, veterans, women, LGBT and disabled people and their communities through giving back, solving public problems, pro bono work, volunteering and more.”
